FOREWORD BY ENGINEER SIMON NGURE
There is a current agitation for humanity to find a reason for existence on earth. Many talks are happening to help people find their purpose in life. I believe the search for this truth is inspired. The fullness of time has come to bring clarity to the purpose of the church. This becomes clear when we shine the light of scripture on the reasons why God created man in the first place. No wonder then that when man fell into sin and bondage, God sent His Son to redeem man so that man could realign with the original purpose. Indeed, God does not change and is not going to change any time soon.
The kingdom of God is the inheritance of every believer as promised in the scriptures. However, as the seven nations of the land of Canaan fought to keep the children of Israel out of the land, so also do spiritual forces fight us. The warfare is largely in the mind, hindering the church from embracing the transformation needed in order to live in the full experience of the Kingdom of God.
As Israel walked in unbelief, fearing warfare rather than believing in God, the Church today struggles with unrighteousness which comes through lack of faith. Worse still is when we do not see the reason to fight and therefore become complacent and compromise. We sacrifice the eternal purposes of God so that we can be friends with the world. We therefore do not impact the world with the Kingdom within us. This is especially evident in the market place where almost all of the Church holds its practice from Monday to Saturday. Man will only change his mind (repent) when inspired by divinely compelling reasons, and the scriptures as expounded in this book will go a long way in helping the church embrace the change required to see the Kingdoms of the earth become the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The will of God is to be represented in and through the church in the whole world, by manifesting His Kingdom everywhere. It is no marvel therefore that Jesus taught us to pray for, seek the Kingdom of God to come, so that the will of God can be done on earth as it is in heaven. The Kingdom expression in our daily lives will lead to solutions to every challenge facing man today. We need to be priestly, but the hour has come to balance off by being kingly as well. Our faith can only be genuinely manifested by the work we do in service to others.
The King-Priest brings that clarity to us. I am grateful to God who has inspired his son James Mbugua to bring these truths together in a book for the Church.
The King Priest book is a must read for all those called to the household of God, especially the current leaders in the church, who God will use to bring repentance and reformation to the church. The resulting transformation will accurately position the church to achieve its mandate on earth. This is the result we must deliver to God; an increase in His government and peace, order and establishment of His Kingdom with judgment and justice, forever. This is the working that the zeal of God is performing now (Isaiah 9:6-7). For His is the kingdom, the power and the glory forevermore.
Amen
